Studio Mosaic Studio Wannabe….. OK! Would you believe this was AFTER I cleaned out the garage! (I will not put crap in my studio I will not put crap in my studio) Building supports in preparation for removal of broken foundation and rotted sills. Old foundation was caving in in large sections. Build was secured with supports and parts of the main Sill were cut out. Excavation begins to correct/replace potions of a caved in foundation wall. This required cutting a part of the stone patio away and inserting drainage materials. Goodies found in the ground during excavation!! The broken foundation was pushed in so that it could be jack-hammered to pieces and hauled away. Special desert of the day: Foundation Wall Crumble Butch (Hahlstrom Enterprises) measures corner in preparation for repairing/replacing a broken foundation on east side of barn toward the stone patio. This man can DIG!! Portion of foundation was cut away, exposing the exterior of barn, and broken/hauled away to make space for forms that will enable pouring new cement to create a new foundation! Forms built for a new wall. Forms placed, cement mixed and poured! Now it must cure for a couple of days….. Almost done!
